Last Friday, CCI students and faculty travelled to Rome to tour the Colosseum, the Forum and the Pantheon.
We enjoyed student led tours of the Colosseum and Forum which were part of a culminating activity for their Classic Civilization course. The students had researched various buildings and sites ad then were assigned to lead tours of students and teachers. It was most informative and a great opportunity to see the students in action.
Afterwards, we went over to the Pantheon which was built by the Emperor Hadrian in about 100 AD and has served as the model for every domed structure built since then.
